Transparency

The Dominican Institute for Integral Development, Inc. (IDDI) is an entity committed to the values of integrity, honesty, transparency, and equity.

The Code of Ethics and Conduct is published with the objective that all stakeholders, internal and external, become aware of and responsibly assume this guide for action for any activity that is their own or related to the institutional work of IDDI.

It is an obligation of all IDDI members to comply with the guidelines set forth in this code and to report any conduct that violates these regulations. Therefore, it is important to emphasize zero tolerance towards behaviors that result in fraud, negligence, and financial misappropriation in all spheres related to the institution.

Complaints and/or suggestions related to code violations can be submitted to the email address denuncias@iddi.org. All complaints will be investigated by the appropriate internal mechanisms.

Our institutional philosophy commits us to working for the sustainable development of our communities, and as such, we assume social and environmental responsibility in the initiatives we implement.

This commitment is expressed in the “IDDI Social and Environmental Policy Statement.” It is based on the Adaptation Fund's Environmental and Social Principles.

Ensuring inclusion, human rights, and the care of the environment and biodiversity

The Environmental Policies of the Adaptation Fund and IDDI have the common objective:

Ensure that disadvantaged or vulnerable people and groups have access to the benefits generated by the project in an inclusive manner, adhering to the legal framework and continuously defending human rights.

Recognize the importance of strengthening national environmental and social management systems, supporting dialogue with all stakeholders, strengthening management capacities and good practices.

Increase transparency and improve project design and execution through continuous stakeholder engagement and information disclosure, for which engagement plans are developed and documents related to environmental and social issues are published.
