Project objective
- To guarantee access to drinking water in the communities, through the construction, improvement and expansion of the water network.
- Promote community participation and empowerment to ensure the management and maintenance of the works.
Components
Water supply and sanitation infrastructure
These infrastructures consist of the construction of two systems:
- An aqueduct to supply water to one hundred seventy (170) families, of which ninety (90) families that are concentrated in the village of Villa Nizao will be supplied with water through home connections and for the remaining eighty (80) families that are scattered on the hill, two collective water points will be built.
- A condominium-type sanitary sewer system with ninety (90) families connected to the network and the construction of 45 sanitary modules.
Social and community strengthening
With the objective of organizing the Villa Nizao community for the care and maintenance of the constructed water reservoirs, a Rural Aqueduct Community Association (ASOCAR) will be formed in accordance with INAPA's regulations.
Beneficiary population
600 direct beneficiaries, 62% of whom are women and young people from the communities.
Indirectly, 450 people living in the mountains will benefit from the project.

Treatment: Chlorination with HTH tablets, guaranteeing a water potability index that allows its consumption without any user being affected by any waterborne disease caused by any microorganism contained in the fluid.
Main line: starts at the outlet of the regulating reservoir up to the communities.
Distribution network: to deliver water to each of the houses, Ø4" and Ø3" PVC pipes (SDR-26) with J.G. will be installed, obtaining pressures within the norms established by INAPA.
Installation of sectioning valves, pressure breaker chamber and fire hydrant, these units located in such a way as to guarantee a good operation and proper functioning of the system.
Construction of house connections.
Water supply to the communities of Villa Nizao and Cara Contenta.
